Dr. Jana Grant grew up in Northern Virginia and Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology and anthropology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, she made a big move to California to attend veterinary school at the Western University of Health Sciences. She graduated in 2009 and moved to Sacramento, California to complete a small animal internship at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She enjoys internal medicine cases, radiology, animal behavior, and dermatology. After working in a small animal practice in Elk Grove, California for seven years, she elected to make another big move to Texas to be closer to friends. Dr. Grant practiced at a hospital in San Antonio for several years, before moving to Bulverde, and is excited to set down roots in her new hometown. She wants to make visiting the veterinarian an enjoyable experience for people as well as pets. She hopes to build lasting relationships with her clients and teach them how to best care for their furry family members. Dr. Grant has 2 young kids, Kayla and Kai. She also has two dogs, two cats, a tortoise, and fish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating at local restaurants, gardening, and being outdoors as much as possible.
